LYCO-BRONZE has two colour variations - Medium and Extra Dark - with many fabulous benefits. Their strong points are that they can both be customised to the desired depth of colour, with the Extra Dark giving the deeper tan. No client is the same, and they often want a different result.
Results from using LYCO-BRONZE Rapid Spray Tan
Some want a deep tan, others just a light tan. LYCO-BRONZE makes life easy for spray tanners and their clients, as the client can decide how long they leave the spray tan on before washing it off, which will determine the darkness of the tan.
A light but noticeable tan can be achieved in as little as 1 hour, and for clients who want a deeper tan, they can leave the spray tan on for 4 hours or longer before washing it off. Both can be sprayed lightly on the face.
How Does LYCO-BRONZE Work?
LYCO-BRONZE works by a chemical reaction with the skin. The main actives, Dihydroxyacetone and Erythrulose, which are natural keto-sugars, react with and bond to the outer skin surface, or more specifically, to the amino acids in the keratin proteins of the skin.
The resulting product reaction has a melanin-like structure, creating a deep bronzed appearance. Once it fully reacts with the skin, LYCO-BRONZE doesn’t come off until the dead skin cells are shed or exfoliated.
What is the Best Way to Prepare the Skin Before a Spray Tan?
The skin condition will significantly impact the result of the tan, its longevity, and evenness. It is therefore very important to prepare the skin correctly before any tan application.

Primarily, it is important to exfoliate the body of dead skin cells as well as remove any previously applied excess tan using LYCON Sugar Scrubs or LYCON’s exfoliating X-it Mitt, then wash and dry the skin very well. Having the skin oil-free and product-free before tan application is important, because if the skin has any oiliness on it or moisturising products, the tan will not adhere to the skin for very long.
LYCON Sugar Scrubs are oil-free, so they do not leave an oily barrier on the skin. Exfoliating the skin correctly will allow the tan to last longer and create a desirable even even-looking tan. Hair removal should be done 24-48 hours before tan application to guarantee that pores are closed, and the tan doesn’t create black dots on the skin.
How Long Does LYCO-BRONZE Tan Last?
LYCO-BRONZE colour should last 1-2 weeks, depending on factors such as the individual’s natural skin cell turnover and the condition of the client’s skin pre- and post-tan. To maintain and prolong the tan, it is important to recommend a post-spray tan regimen for the client.
