Founded by Lydia Jordane

The LYCON brand was established in Australia in 1978 by Lydia Jordane, an internationally acclaimed beauty therapist. Cosmetics manufacturing has been a family endeavour since 1935. From her earliest days, Lydia was immersed in the world of beauty and science, learning to walk while underfoot in her father’s laboratory.

After much research as a late teenager, and secretly ordering ingredients under the guise of her father’s cosmetic chemist business, Lydia created her first depilatory wax in secret on the family kitchen stove in 1968!

It wasn’t long before Lydia's Wax became LYCON Cosmetics, which has grown into a well-known and sought after brand, with a well-deserved reputation as the Crème de la Crème of hair removal waxes and outstanding skincare products in Australia and around the world. We carefully monitor each stage of production to ensure consistent quality, trustworthy product safety and professional performance that can be relied on.

Every LYCON product is extensively tested to ensure it complies with the highest international safety and quality standards, whilst also meeting our customer’s expectations. LYCON does not conduct any animal testing.
